991.11 Effective date of acts. Every act and every portion of an act enacted by the legislature over the governor’s partial veto which does not expressly prescribe the time when it takes effect shall take effect on the day after its date of publication as prescribed in s. 35.095 (1) (b).History: 1981 c. 372 s. 14; Stats. 1981 s. 991.11; 1983 a. 36; 2013 a. 5.Although the act expressly prescribed an effective date 6 months after publication, certain provisions went into effect on the day after publication.
