1-17-342. Return of execution to another county by mail. When execution is issued to the sheriff of another county, and the sheriff, having discharged all the duties required of him by law, returns the execution by mail to the clerk of the court who issued it soon enough to have reached the office where it was issued within the time prescribed by law, he is not liable for any penalty if it does not reach the office in time.
