Section 11-16-108 - Petition to Form District; Contents; Consolidation and Exclusion

11-16-108. Petition to form district; contents; consolidation and exclusion. (a) Any ten (10) owners of land lying within the limits of the proposed district may file a petition with the commission asking that a conservation district be organized to function in the territory described in the petition. The petition shall meet all of the requirements of W.S. 22-29-105(f). The commission shall act upon the petition for formation in the same manner as set forth in W.S. 22-29-109 for county commissioners in determining if a petition for district formation shall be voted upon. When more than one (1) petition is filed covering parts of the same territory, the commission may consolidate all or any such petitions, or may exclude from any petition areas in conflict with another petition or petitions.
