15-1-418. Annexing contiguous cities or towns; annexation ordinance; filing. (a) If after the hearing, the governing body of the annexing city or town finds that the conditions and procedures required by W.S. 15-1-402, 15-1-404 and 15-1-405 have been met and the terms and conditions in the written petition exist, it may by ordinance annex the city or town. (b) A certified copy of the annexation ordinance including a legal description of the area and the map prepared pursuant to W.S. 15-1-402(c)(i) and in accordance with W.S. 33-29-801 shall be filed with the county clerk of the county in which the action has taken place.
