18-1-308. Election of officers. If a majority of the qualified electors residing in the proposed new county vote for the organization, the new county is organized. At the next general election, or if the special election is held in conjunction with a general election, the qualified electors residing in the proposed new county shall vote for county and precinct officers as provided by law.
