Section 21-3-126 - Liability Insurance on Vehicles

21-3-126. Liability insurance on vehicles. The board of trustees of any school district in the state of Wyoming or the owner of any vehicle contracted to the school district under the statutes of this state is hereby required to procure liability insurance covering any vehicle used for the transportation of school children or used in the operation of the school district. When private vehicles are contracted to the school district, the contract shall not be fully executed until the owner of the vehicle has filed with the school district the required insurance policy. The defense of governmental immunity is expressly waived in any action to the extent of any insurance coverage of the district involving such an insured vehicle.
