26-2-102. Insurance commissioner; appointment; vacancy; removal from office; other requirements. (a) The chief officer of the department is the 'insurance commissioner'. (b) The commissioner shall be appointed by the governor. (c) If for any cause a vacancy occurs in the office of commissioner, the governor shall fill the vacancy in accordance with W.S. 28-12-101. (d) The governor may remove a commissioner as provided in W.S. 9-1-202. (e) Effective July 1, 1979, appointments and terms shall be in accordance with W.S. 28-12-101 through 28-12-103.
