Section 26-2-108 - Commissioner; Delegation of Authority

26-2-108. Commissioner; delegation of authority. (a) The commissioner may delegate to his deputy or any department employee the exercise or discharge in the commissioner's name of any power, duty, or function vested in or imposed upon the commissioner under this code, other than the supervision of department operations. (b) The official act of any individual acting in the commissioner's name and by his authority is an official act of the commissioner. The commissioner is responsible for all such acts.
