35-20-104. Department to coordinate services; rules and regulations. (a) The department shall: (i) Coordinate a protective services program consistent with this act, with the goal of ensuring that every vulnerable adult in need of protective services will have access to protective services; (ii) Adopt rules, regulations and standards for services provided by the department necessary to effect the provisions and purposes of this act; (iii) Develop and maintain statistical data which set forth referrals by type of incidence and disposition pursuant to this act but which do not contain personally identifiable information; (iv) Provide appropriate training to all investigative agency personnel; (v) Assign designated workers for adult protective services within the department to carry out the activities of this chapter; (vi) Develop, facilitate and participate in local multidisciplinary community-based adult protection teams that discuss adult protection issues.
