35-3-111. Eminent domain; manner of exercise; ascertaining damage to property. Whenever the board of trustees of any sanitary and improvement district shall by order determine to make any public improvement under the provisions of this act which shall require that private property be taken or damaged, the district may cause the damage therefor to be ascertained as nearly as may be according to the provisions of law for the appropriation of right-of-way by railway companies.
