Section 35-9-154 - Emergency Response Training, Planning and Reporting

35-9-154. Emergency response training, planning and reporting. (a) After consultation with the commission and the state fire marshal, the director, office of homeland security shall: (i) Coordinate, develop, implement and make available a comprehensive voluntary training program designed to assist emergency responders in hazardous material or weapons of mass destruction incidents; (ii) Provide for ongoing training programs for political subdivisions, state agency employees and private industry employees involved in responding to hazardous materials or weapons of mass destruction incidents; (iii) Assist with emergency response planning by appropriate agencies of government at the local, state and national levels.
