Section 36-7-201 - Meetings; President; Duty; Quorum

36-7-201. Meetings; president; duty; quorum. The board shall meet at least once in each month, at such time as the board may prescribe, for the transaction of business. The governor shall be president of the board, and it shall be his duty to sign all contracts, papers or documents that shall be approved, made or directed by the board. Provided, however, that all leases approved or directed to be entered into by the board of land commissioners may be signed for and on behalf of the state by the director. A majority of the board shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of any and all business; and in the absence of the governor, one (1) of the other members may act as president pro tempore and may preside at such meeting.
