Section 37-5-508 - Subpoena

37-5-508. Subpoena. (a) For the purpose of any investigation or proceeding under this article, the authority or any officer it designates may administer oaths and affirmations, subpoena witnesses, compel their attendance, take evidence and require the production of any books, papers, correspondence, memoranda, agreements or other documents or records that the authority deems relevant or material to the inquiry. (b) In case of contumacy by, or refusal to obey, a subpoena issued to any person, a Wyoming district court, upon the authority's application, may issue to the person an order requiring him to appear before the authority or the officer it designates. The order may require the person to produce documentary evidence or to give evidence touching the matter under investigation or in question. Failure to obey the order of the court may be punished by the court as a contempt of court. (c) In considering a request by the authority under subsection (b) of this section, the district court shall review the request in camera to protect the confidentiality of the information sought.
