Section 37-5-509 - Confidential Information

37-5-509. Confidential information. All information obtained by the authority in connection with any hearing or investigation under this article that contains or that might reveal proprietary data shall be considered as confidential for the purposes of this article. The authority shall not disclose confidential information to any person, governmental entity or agency without prior written consent from the owner of the confidential information. Any board or staff member who discloses or causes to be disclosed any confidential information is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than one (1) year, a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), or both.
