40-22-124. Civil penalties. The commissioner may impose a civil penalty upon a person who violates this act or a rule adopted or an order issued under this act in an amount not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) per day for each day the violation is outstanding, plus the state's costs and expenses for the investigation and prosecution of the matter, including reasonable attorney's fees.
