Section 40-3-122 - Penalties for Violations; Other Criminal Remedies Unimpaired

40-3-122. Penalties for violations; other criminal remedies unimpaired. Any person who willfully violates any provision of this act, or who willfully violates any rule or order under this act, shall upon conviction be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisoned in a county jail for not more than one (1) year, or be punished by both such fine and imprisonment, but no person may be imprisoned for the violation of any rule or order if he proves that he had no knowledge of the rule or order. Nothing in this act limits the power of the state to punish any person for any conduct which constitutes a crime under any other statute.
