Section 41-7-802 - Definitions

41-7-802. Definitions. (a) 'Public irrigation district', 'Public irrigation and power district', or 'district', means a district organized under this act, either as originally organized or as the same may be from time to time altered or extended. (b) The word 'board' shall mean the board of directors of a district organized under this act. (c) The words 'works' and 'system' shall be deemed to include all property, rights, easements, and franchises relating thereto and deemed necessary or convenient for their operation, and all water rights acquired or exercised by the board in connection with such works, and shall embrace all means of conserving, controlling and distributing water, including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, reservoirs, dams, diversion canals, distributing canals, lateral ditches and pumping units, mains, pipelines and water works systems, and shall include all such works for the conservation, development, storage, distribution and utilization of water, including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, works for the purpose of irrigation, flood control, development, sale and distribution of power, watering of stock, supplying of water
