5-6-109. Postponement of trial for violation of city ordinance; recognizance generally. If a person charged with a violation of a city ordinance is held to appear for examination or trial before a municipal judge, the judge may postpone the trial of the case to a certain day. The judge may require the defendant to enter into a recognizance with sufficient sureties conditioned that he will appear before the judge at the time and place appointed to answer the complaint alleged against him. 5-6-109.
