6-5-305. Influencing, intimidating or impeding jurors, judges, witnesses and officers; obstructing or impeding justice; penalties. (a) A person commits a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than five (5) years, a fine of not more than five thousand dollars ($5,000.00), or both, if, by force or threats, he attempts to influence, intimidate impede or retaliate against a juror, judge, witness or other judicial officer in relation to the discharge of his duty. (b) A person commits a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than one (1) year, a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), or both, if, by threats or force, he obstructs or impedes the administration of justice in a court.
