9-1-307. Secretary of state; employment of legal counsel. The secretary of state may employ legal counsel to review contracts entered into by the secretary of state in his official capacity and to perform other duties assigned by the secretary of state. Nothing in this section prohibits the secretary of state from using the services of the attorney general's office.
